She studied ballet, opera and singing in Syria, in addition to opera singing at the Royal Conservatoire in Netherlands. She won first place in the Super Star competition held online by the Iraqi University. Baidar sings in Arabic, Dutch and French. She participated in numerous operas and musicals her most recently she presented was the soloist for the European musical Stabat Mater is a 2008 piece by Welsh composer Karl Jenkins. This musical was shown several times. Baidar was honored by the youth of the Iraqi diaspora in Holand and Anqaa Iraqi International organization. Fri 2, 9pm: Khansa Batma (Morocco). She joined the Casablanca Conservatoire at the age of nine. The kick start of her career was a 2001 debut album entitled “Sharq wa Gharb” which featured folkloric Moroccan songs with European sounding arrangement, and international folklore songs with Moroccan instrument arrangement. In 2003, she released her second album “Ala Abwab El Sahra” or (On the gates of the Desert). This album describes a lost soul's journey from Spain to Sudan and through North Africa. Her third album “The Dark Album” achieved huge commercial success among the youth; songs like “Barano”, “Gharani” and “Nestahel” were very popular. Batma's songs bring together Arabic and Moroccan rhythms blended with Rock.
