Djehan Raouf'slatestexhibition of oil paintings is significantly entitled "When Flowers Become a Life Story". It is currently on show at the SalamaGallery in Mohandeseen. Coinciding with spring season and Easter, the exhibition includes 30 oil paintings in which nature and flowers vividly come to life. Raouf is also showing a collection of paintings with the sea bed as their main theme -- a totally new experience for her, discovered underwater -- an inspiring realm of joy and serenity. As an abstract expressionist, she expressed her adoration for flowers and roses using a very bright palette of colours. It induces feelings of love, optimism and hope. Despite the fact the floral motif is recurrent in her work, each piece is still very distinct. The artist's life story and the enchanting world of flowers and roses are interwoven in her long career. Since 1973, she has been participating in group exhibitions in Egypt and Spain as well as the General and National exhibitions in addition to solo shows. The exhibition closes on 11 April.
