Fatigue at the end of a tough tournament affected Raja Casablanca's performance, leading to a 2-0 loss to Bayern Munich in the Club World Cup final Saturday, says coach

Raja Casablanca's coach believes that losing to Bayern Munich was simply the result of player fatigue.
The Moroccan side Raja won silver in the Club World Cup after losing 2-0 to European champions Bayern Munich in the tournament final Saturday.
Bayern Munich defender Dante and Thiago Alcantara scored in the first 22 minutes as Bayern followed up the Champions League, Bundesliga and German Cup treble they won last season.
"We played against a giant team who made use of chances and managed to score twice," Raja coach Faouzi Benzarti told reporters after the game.
"Raja players did their best to stop Bayern Munich from dominating the game," he added.
Raja reached the Club World Cup final against Bayern Munich after beating New Zealand's Auckland City, CONCACAF champions Monterrey and South American champions Atletico Mineiro respectively.
"Overwork affected our performance during the game as we played four games against topflight teams in a short time," the tactician said.
"I thank players for their efforts during the tournament as well as the position they reached in a short time," he added.
The 63-year-old Tunisian coach Benzarti took the lead of Raja only 10 days before the tournament started, replacing axed coach Mohamed Fakhir.
