CAF final away draw sparks optimism in Tunisia
Optimism ignites in Tunis as Sfaxien draw in first leg of Confederation Cup final against Moroccan side Fath Union Sport de Rabat

Optimism dominated Tunisian newspapers on Monday with Sfaxien's scoreless away draw against Moroccan side Fath Union Sport (FUS) de Rabat in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup final.
“Sfaxien have a hand on the Cup,” stated Assabah online in its match description.
Assahafa also favored the Tunisian heavyweight to win the title as the team, it stated, “is clearly better than their opponent but the result is very tricky and (Pierre) Lechantre (Sfaxien coach) must be careful in the return leg.”
The players also seemed very confident and regretted missing the victory in Rabat. “We came to win and we created a lot of chances especially in the second half but we were focused more on defense. We didn't score but what's important is we didn't concede any goals and we'll win back home,” midfielder Fateh Gharbi told Assabah.
The club's director of football Nasser Al-Badawy agreed with Gharbi saying “Lechantre asked the players to attack in order to stun the hosts but they were very cautious at the back. The result is quiet satisfying and we will have to finish the job in Sfax.”
The return leg will be played next Saturday in Tairb Mhiri Stadium in Sfax. CS Sfaxien are on course for a fourth CAF Cup title after those of 1998, 2007 and 2008.
