Egypt's central bank said it sold 6 billion Egyptian pounds ($1 billion) in domestic treasury bills on Thursday and that average yields had declined. The bank sold 2.5 billion pounds of 182-day T-bills, the same amount it asked for, at an average yield of 11.994 per cent, down from 12.081 percent at last week's auction. The bank also sold 3.5 billion pounds of 350-day T-bills, the same amount it had offered, at an average yield of 12.395 per cent, down from 12.521 percent at the last issue on March 8.
