Three police conscripts were injured in North Sinai on Sunday during an ambush by unknown assailants. The attackers fired at an interior ministry bus in Sheikh Zuwayed city. The injured were then transferred to the hospital. Militants have stepped up their attacks against security forces in Egypt's restive peninsula following the popularly-backed military ouster of Islamist president Mohamed Morsi in July. These attacks have left dozens of security forces dead. In response, the military has launched a "counter-terrorism" campaign in North Sinai. According to the army, security forces have killed dozens of alleged terrorists and arrested at least 300 others since Morsi's ouster. http://english.ahram.org.eg/News/83889.aspx
