Egypt-Mali friendly negotiations blocked
Pharaohs may cancel friendly game with Mali scheduled for mid-August due to organisational complications

The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) is in talks with a marketing company to play a friendly against Mali on 14 August amid preparations for the African qualifiers to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Reports say the match would be held in Morocco because of security concerns due to Egypt's current political conflict, however EFA spokesman Azmy Megahed confirmed to Ahram Online that nothing has been finalised.
"The negotiations were blocked today because of what is going in the country," Megahed told Ahram Online Sunday.
"There are strange disagreements about small details like travel tickets and clothes. Talks are still on but nothing is final yet,"
Megahed also confirmed that the second consecutive Premier League cancellation is final and that there is no chance it will be resumed.
Earlier in July, Egypt's American manager Bob Bradley turned down an invitation from Jordan to play a friendly, citing previous commitments for Ahly and Zamalek's international players due to the African Champions League. The Cairo giants will face-off on Wednesday.
Egypt secured a place in the World Cup qualifiers play-off after ensuring they would finish on top of Group G with one game to spare.
The African draw for the final round, featuring the 10 group winners, will be made on 16 September in Cairo.
