Ahly striker Emad Meteb is returning back to Cairo within a week after undergoing a back surgery in Germany. "The surgery was successful. It lasted more than two hours," the 30-year-old forward's doctor told his club's official website. The player will be off the pitch for more than two months but he is expected to start his rehabilitation program in two weeks. Meteb has been starring with the Egyptian champions since 2004 collecting a series of trophies with them including 12 domestic championships and six continental Cups [three African Champions Leagues and three Super Cups]. 2005's best striker in Africa, Meteb has also been a key player in the Egyptian National team since 2004, helping the Pharoah's win three successive Africa Cups of Nations; 2006, 2008 and 2010.
