AC Milan midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng is available for Ghana selection after reversing his decision to retire from international football, the country's football chief confirmed. "KP Boateng had confirmed to the coach and my good self that he was coming back to play," Nyantakyi, head of the Ghanaian Football Association, said on SuperSport's Soccer Africa programme. The 26-year-old announced his retirement from international football in November 2011, saying "the physical demands of playing for both club and country at high levels are taking a toll on his health". He was part of the Ghana side that reached the World Cup quarter-final in 2010 before being knocked out by Uruguay. "Let me confirm that before Kwesi Appiah selected his team for the Sudan game (in Kumasi) Kevin had told the coach and me that he was available for that game," Nyantakyi added. "Unfortunately, a week before that game, he picked up an injury during training with AC Milan but he told us that he would participate in the team's games in June." Ghana lie second in Group D of the World Cup qualifiers with nine points, one behind leaders Zambia with two matches remaining. The Black Stars next face Lesotho on Sunday before taking on Zambia in September.
