Algeria's Belouizdad blame Ismaily for signing Benin's Angan Belouizdad chairman argues the contract between Ismaily and Pascal is not legal since the player is still under contract with the Algerian side
Ismaily signed a three-year contract with Benin's midfielder Pascal Angan, who plays for Algerian club Belouizdad, Supersport reports on Monday without disclosing financial details. Chairman of Belouizdad Ezz Eldeen Qana argues that the contract between Ismaily and the Benin midfielder is not legal, since the player signed with the Egyptian side without approval from the Algerian side. "The player is under contract with us and he can't sign without our approval," Supersport quotes Qana. "Yes, he wanted to end his contract with us after he did not receive his salary, but we promised to solve that," Qana told the Algerian media. "Ismaily made the wrong decision when they signed him and FIFA will punish them." However, 27-year-old's agent, Shahenaz Hamza insists that her client's contract with Ismaily is within their rights. "Our deal is correct and Qana knows that. He is grasping at straws because his club fans are angry after Pascal left the team," the player's agent said. The Ivory Coast-born midfielder, who was a key element in the Benin squad that played against Egypt in 2010 African Nations Cup, has played before for Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca before joining CR Belouizdad last year.
