Zamalek president Galal Ibrahim withdraws resignation
The president of the National Council of Sports Hassan Sakr convinced Zamalek president Galal Ibrahim to stay in charge of the Cairo giants

Zamalek football club president Galal Ibrahim has resigned from his position, Sunday, because of the club's mounting financial problems.
“The club's financial crisis prevents me from doing my job,” Ibrahim was quoted as saying by Ahram Online.
“Some people ask me to reduce the salaries of high-earning employees, and this is something beyond my authority because I head an interim board.”
Ibrahim recently launched a donations campaign for club lovers, but the idea failed to allay Zamalek's financial woes.
“We hadn't the sufficient support as we only collected LE52,000. Even the outcome of the coming friendly games in Syria and Saudi Arabia will not be enough to fund Mido's deal and any other new signings,” he said.
Ibrahim was appointed caretaker president in September last year. His tenure was due to end in July when the club holds board elections.
Egyptian Premier League leaders Zamalek are also expected to be dearly affected by ongoing league stoppages in the aftermath of January's popular Egyptian uprising.
The Cairo giants will travel to Syria on Wednesday to hold a training camp as part of their preparations for their clash against Tunisia's Club Africain in the African Champions League Round 32.
