Coach Shehata finally hails Zamalek board Zamalek's financial problems seem solved, new coach Hassan Shehata and (un-resigned) President Galal Ibrahim express their delight and players are promised they will be paid
Zamalek technical staff have met with the board under the presidency of Galal Ibrahim to discuss the club's vision for next season. “I am totally satisfied that the club fulfills my demands, especially with the new singings and I am waiting for more,” Zamalek's new coach Hassan Shehata was quoted as saying on the club's official website. Zamalek have recently confirmed the engagement of their stars Ahmed “Mido” Hossam and Mahmoud “Shikabala” Abdel-Razik. They landed Maqassa's striker Hussein Hamdy and two defenders, Ghanaian Karim Alhassan and Hani Said (also of Maqassa) in addition to Masry's own Hani Said, with whom talks are ongoing. Egypt skipper Ahmed Hassan's move to Zamalek is nearing its close after his release from Ahly and the Whites promised to fulfill his financial demands. The financial crisis in the White Castle forced president Galal Ibrahim to step down his post before he pull out his resignation after he provided funding sources. “All players will get their salaries this week,” Ibrahim said. Many players have complained because they have yet to receive their bonuses for the last season and midfielder Mohamed Ashour El-Adham has filed a complaint last week to the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) seeking to terminate his contract with the White Castle. In another context, the club rubbished reports that club's centenary celebrations had been cancelled or postponed. “Zamalek will host Liverpool on 18 or 19 October with a celebratory ceremony,” board member Sherin Fawzy insisted. “We are to meet the English club's officials to sign the friendly match contracts,” he added.
