President Mohamed Morsi held a meeting withEgypt's cabinet at the presidential palace following Tuesday morning's reshuffle and the swearing in of the new members, where he said that the new formation presents a promising step forward. The president said that the new cabinet is "an attempt to bring new blood into the government", Ahram's Arabic news website reported. Morsi stressed that it brings together young ministers, such as investment minister Yehia Hamed who is in his thirties, so as to benefit from their potential. Morsi added that the current government, which prioritises the economic portfolios, will attempt to improve the quality of services provided to Egypt's citizens. Morsi called on Egyptians to give the new government a chance to fulfill its responsibilities so that security and political stability can be realised. A few hours before his upcoming trip to Brazil, Morsi called for the need to focus on work and increasing productivity in the coming period, "since the world we live in is where only the fittest will survive."
