Black smoke rises above Talaat Harb street following mall fire

Downtown Cairo mall on Talaat Harb catches fire as emergency fire brigade attempt to limit damage

A large cloud of black smoke could be seen on Sunday afternoon from the fourth floor of the Talaat Harb Mall on the central Talaat Harb street in downtown Cairo, bustling with shops and street vendors.
Fire extinguishing trucks were seen at the scene attempting to put out the fire.
It remains to be unknown what the cause of the fire is, but a short circuit is suspected.
