361 individuals suffered from teargas inhalation, birdshots as police use force against protesters opposed to transfer of Port Said stadium massacre defendants out of the city; army fails to stop clashes Some 360 people were injured in clashes between police and protesters near Port Said's security directorate on Sunday, according to Egypt's health ministry. More than 260 protesters suffered teargas inhalation as police fired rounds of teargas canisters at demonstrators opposed to a decision by the interior ministry to transfer 39 prisoners charged with involvement in last year's Port Said stadium disaster from the Suez canal city to Wadi Natroun jail in Egypt's Beheira governorate. Helmy El-Hanafy, health ministry undersecretary in Port Said, said that 33 people had suffered birdshot injuries, while 16 others suffered other injuries. Twenty-year-old Ibrahim Shoman suffered serious eye injuries after being hit with shrapnel. Three soldiers from Egypt's armed forces, which intervened to stop the clashes, were also reported injured. Civilians could be seen around the area aiding soldiers, many of whom also suffered from teargas inhalation.
