Zamalek announce the 23-man squad for participation in the African Champions League that kicks off on 16 February. Under the helm of Portuguese manager Jorvan Vieira, Zamalek decided to sideline Benin forward Razak Omotoyossi from the team's African squad because of his unjustified absence from trainings. The Cairo giants also included their new signing playmaker Ahmed Eid Abdel-Malek in the squad that sent to African federation for the teams that will take part in this year's African Champions League. Zamalek are preparing to face Gazelle of Chad in February in the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.
