Defender Abdel-Shafy out of Zamalek squad for Mazembe tie Zamalek didn't announce the reasons behind the absence of Abdel-Shafy, while Ahmed El-Merghany will replace midfield duo El-Sayed and Hassan
New Zamalek coach Jorvan Vieira has announced late Friday his team's final squad for the game against DR Congo's Mazembe in the CAF champions League on Sunday. Defender Mohamed Abdel-Shafy was not included in the Cairo giants squad amid rumors that his absence in the club's last game with Mazembe is the main reason. Midfield duo Nour El-Sayed and Ahmed Hassan were also absent due to injury and suspension respectively and out-of-favour Ahmed El-Merghany was included to recover.
