Egypt's Hegazy suffers serious knee injury at Fiorentina
The versatile defender will be out for about four months after rupturing his cruciate knee ligament

Just a few days after making his debut with Fiorentina, Ahmed Hegazy will be forced to rest for months after rupturing his knee ligament during Monday's training session.
“Ahmed Hegazy suffered a rupture in his anterior knee ligament on Monday morning, a serious injury that will need a surgical intervention in the next few days,” a statement read on the club's official website on Monday.
It comes as a huge blow for the 21-year-old international player who has just made his debut for the Viola last week since joining them in the summer.
He made a huge impact scoring in Fiorentina's 2-0 win over Juve Stabia in the fourth round of the Italian Cup.
Hegazy is expected to be out for at least four months and would be a major doubt for Egypt's world cup qualifier against Zimbabwe next March.
