With its quick success, Ibrahim Eissa's latest novel, Mowlana,has attracted the attention of TV producers and will be adapted by Egyptian director Sherif Arafa to become a TV series starring Khaled Abu El-Naga. According to Ahram Arabic news, the Egyptian novelist confirmed that Arafa would bring the novel to television in a series starring El-Naga among many others. Eissa also announced that the novel's publisher, Bloomsburry Qatar, are to publish the third edition Mawlana saying, "They were the only party that showed interest in my work at the moment." Eissa has relaunched his literary career with Mawlana, which tackles the phenomenon of sheikhs who appear on television in recent years. The novel, which Eissa started working on back in 2009, explores the hidden world of such sheikhs and their ties with security institutions, politicians as well as businessmen.
