Egypt's People's Assembly resumes work after president Morsi reinstated the dissolved elected body on Sunday

Egypt's reinstated People's Assembly (lower house of parliament) is to convene at noon on Tuesday after a call by majority speaker El-Katatni for the resumption of sessions.
Speaker Saad El-Katatni made the call only hours after newly-inaugurated President Mohamed Morsi issued a decree reinstating the assembly as one of his first political moves.
The People's Assembly had been dissolved following a 14 June ruling by Egypt's High Constitutional Court (HCC). The elections law governing the parliamentary elections last year was deemed unconstitutional just days before the presidential runoff elections that pitted a military-friendly candidate, Ahmed Shafiq, against the Muslim Brotherhood's candidate, Mohamed Morsi.
Reactions to El-Katatni's call to assembly vary widely.
The Muslim Brotherhood called for a million-march on the group's Twitter account linked to their official website Ikhwanweb to support President Mohamed Morsi's decree.
Leftist and liberal parties announced they will boycott the parliament meetings. Those parties include, Egyptian Social Democratic Party, Tagammu Party, Wafd Party and Free Egyptians.
The Judge's Club is threatening to bring legal action against Morsi for "defying court orders."
