Brotherhood discusses next steps after court ruling dissolved parliament

A meeting is underway headed by leaders of both the Muslim Brotherhood and their political arm, the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP), to discuss the High Constitutional Court's ruling, which dissolved Egypt's parliament.
The FJP held the majority of the seats.Parliament speaker, Saad El- Katatni, Brotherhood vice-chairman, Khayrat El-Shater, and presidential candidate Mohamed Mursiare in attendance.
Thursday's ruling by the High Constitutional Court ruled that Egypt'sParliamentary Elections Law– which regulated last year's legislative polls – is unconstitutional. Fresh elections for both the upper (Shura Council) and lower (People's Assembly) house are expected.
The ruling also dismissed the calls for enforcing the Disenfranchisement Law against Mubarak's ex-prime minister,Ahmed Shafiq; Mursi's rival in Egypt's elections' runoffs taking place 16 and 17 June.
The Islamist's candidate has joined the meeting after his return from his hometown, Sharqyia, where he was casting his vote.
The Brotherhood is expected to release a statement to the press at the conclusion of the meeting.
