Egypt defeat Cameroon's local-based squad 2-1 in a friendly in Sudan to prepare for Brazil 2014 qualifiers

The Pharaohs started their preparation camp for the next world cup qualifiers in Sudan with a 2-1 win over Cameroon's local based squad on Sunday.
Sunderland's winger Ahmed El-Elmohamady opened the scoring for the Pharaohs on the 41thminute of the game with a powerful header after an excellent cross from forward Mohamed Salah.
Ibrahim Salah's hand in the area gave Cameroon a correct penalty which they converted on the 75thminute of the game to make it 1-1.
Five minutes later, Mohamed Abou Treika made the difference for the Pharaohs by converting a penalty after right-back Bassem Aly, who replaced Elmohamady, was fouled in the area to give Egypt the lead for good.
The game witnessed the first participation of Brighton defender Adam El-Abd with the Egyptian national team. El-Abd played the second half-time after replacing Zamalek's defender Mahmoud Fathallah, but he didn't impress during the game.
The Pharaohs will meet Togo on Tuesday. Bob Bradley's team was scheduledto face Senegal on 25 may but this game became doubtful after Morocco revealed that they will host Senegal on the same date.
The Egyptian football association contacted their Zambian counterpart in order for the latter to replace Senegal in Friday's friendly game.
Egypt is in the midst of preparing for their 2014 World Cup qualifier against Mozambique, set to be played on first June.
