French Cultural Institute Madrasset Al-Huquq Al Frinseya St, Mounira, Tel 02 2791 5800 "Maalish" photography exhibition by Leon Dubois presents a photographic incarnation of John Cocteau's book Maalish and traces his journey in the Mediterranean in search of cities, atmospheres and climatic conditions as they were described 70 years ago. This avatar blends extracts from "Maalish" with black and white photographs of the Mediterranean region today. Dubois lives in Alexandria (5 April- 6 May).

Tahrir Cultural Centre (TCC) American University in Cairo, Downtown Campus, 24 Falaki St, Downtown Cairo, Tel 012 88721446 Marriott Gallery "A Boundless Drop to a Boundless Ocean" exhibition is organised by the AUC, together with the Orlando Museum of Art (OMA). It features artworks by US-based artists of Arab and Iranian heritage in simultaneous exhibitions in Orlando and Cairo (closing 2 May). Margo Veillon Gallery "City Volume Cairo" is an exhibition of SOUND ART by artists from four continents including Benoit Renaudin, Isis Fahmy, Ola Saad, Asmaa Azouz, Hagar Masoud, Thomas Perrodin, Julie Semeroz, Budhatiya C, and many more. The opening reception is on 8 April from 5pm to 9pm, and performances take place on 10 April from 1pm-10pm in the Fountain area at the TCC. The show is open from Saturdays through Thursdays in Margo Veillon Gallery (8-19 April). Main Garden "Hundred Arabic Posters", exhibition, held in cooperation with the German University in Cairo, displays some of the best-chosen posters in the region.
