Ghana coach Akwasi Appiah will fly to Dubai and AC Milan to persuade Asamoah Gyan and Kevin-Prince Boateng to end their international retirement. “As I speak to you, Mr. Kwasi Appiah will leave Accra tonight for Dubai where we have sent him to see Asamoah Gyan over finalizing his return to the Black Stars,” Ghana FA boss Kwasi Nyantakyi told Kumasi-based Fox FM. “He will then travel to Milan to meet with Kevin-Prince Boateng to also discuss his return. He (Appiah) and I had already been to Milan to see Boateng so this is a follow up," he added. Gya, who is year-long loan deal at Emirati side Al-Ain, is on a temporarily international break after being fiercely attacked for his poor performance in the Africa Cup of Nations 2012 endorsing the blame for Ghana's below-par fourth-place achievement. While Kevin-Prince Boateng, who has been a key element for AC Milan, has decided to quit the Black Stars last year, at the age of 24, to focus on his club career. Appiah was appointed last month as new Ghana coach succeeding to Serbian tactician Goran Stevanovic. The former Asante Kotoko skipper said that he is willing to get all his players back in the squad ahead of the World Cup qualifiers' campaign that will start next June. During his tour, Appiah will also check on injured Ayew and Mensah. “From there he will visit Dede Ayew and John Mensah to access their injury situations before presenting a report to us on his return,” Nyantakyi concluded. The Black Stars were handed a tough draw in the qualifiers as they have been paired with African Champions Zambia, Sudan and Lesotho.
