Tropfest Arabia at Jesuits Centre in Cairo at 7pm
One of two film workshops by Tropfest Arabia, organisers of one of the largest short film festivals for amateurs. Workshops will include basic information on filmmaking as well as requirements for Tropfest submissions. More info here.

Opening of exhibition Dust at Townhouse Gallery at 7pm
Xenia Nikolsaya's Dust is both a photographic exhibition exploring Egypt's abandoned architectural heritage, and a publication of texts and images. The exhibition will be accompanied by “Tracing Time” symposium on 12 May.
