Egypt Premier League club Wadi Degla have renewed their interest in signing Egypt and Ismaily striker Ahmed Ali, Egyptian news agency MENA revealed on Monday. The Dervishes officials previously rejected Degla's offer to get the player's services in the winter transfer window last January. Belgian side Lierse, owned by Egyptian businessman Maged Sami who also owns Wadi Degla, tried recently to land the Pharaohs' striker, but the offer was denied by Ismaily. The 25-year-old hitman, for his part, lodged a complaint against Ismaily, asking for his contract with the costal club to be terminated, as he had not received his financial dues. All Egyptian football activities have been suspended since 1 February when tens were killed and hundreds injured afterclashes between Ahly and Masry fans in Port Said stadium.
