Historian Noha Abou-Khatwa is the second speaker for the July TYPE talk series 'Ladies of Letters.' Stay tuned for this live talk with Abou-Khatwa on Instagram.
Abou-Khatwa is Adjunct Assistant Professor of Islamic Art and Architecture at the AUC. Her main research interests include the manuscript culture and architecture of the Medieval Muslim world, with a focus on the Mamluk era. She writes about epigraphy, calligraphy and Qur'an manuscripts. She is currently doing research on two prominent 14th century Mamluk calligraphers, and on inscribed Mamluk metalwork.

The reading club is a platform to read a set of distinguished works from the Spanish and Latin American literature that speak the Spanish language.
