Ivory Coast's defender Kolo Touresaid he is determinednot to give up the chance of playing regular football again after returning to action with Manchester City. Warming the bench for thefirst half of the seasonafter serving a six-month ban for failing a drug test, the 30-year-old player reportedly considered leaving the Citizens but it seems that he changed his mind now. Getting a timely chance to return to the starting lineup, the former Arsenal star replaced his injured team mate Vincent Kompany, who will be out of action for around two weeks, in Saturday's 2-0 win over Bolton before starting Thursday's 1-0 defeat against Sportingin the Europa League. “We have a big squad and every time the manager needs a player to step up and give his best, we have to do it,"Toure was quoted as saying by Skysports.com on Saturday. "For me, I will give 100 per cent, like I usually do. I am more angry than ever after all the difficult time I had. "I just want to play and play well for my team,” he added. Manchester City are leading the English Premier League table with 66 points, two ahead of their neighbors Manchester United and Toure believes the title race will not be easy. “We know the quality United have. To be honest it is 50-50 at the minute,” He explained. "We just need to be careful. It is going to be a great end to the season. "If we can beat all the teams we are going to play against, then it will be like a final against United. "I think that will be the best scenario - it would be massive. The most important thing now is the game against Swansea,” he concluded. (For more sports news and updates, follow Ahram Online Sports on Twitter: @AO Sports)
