Carteron advises Zamalek players to avoid mistakes of Ahly vs Esperance
Published in Ahram Online on 26 - 02 - 2020

Zamalek coach Patrice Carteron advised his players to avoid repeating the technical mistakes that took place in the game between Ahly and Tunisia's Esperance on Friday.
The team's left back Mohamed Abdel-Shafy is almost ready for the anticipated Champions League match.
Zamalek are scheduled to host Esperance in the first leg quarterfinal match of the African Champions League on Friday.
Although the Whites defeated arch rivals Ahly 4-3 on penalties last week in the UAE to win the Egypt Super Cup, Carteron believes the team still needs to work hard on some points.
"You are real men, and I want you to carry out all the technical instructions to keep up what we're doing," the French coach told Zamalek players during Wednesday's training, according to the club's official website.
"There were some technical mistakes in the Ahly match which I don't want repeated.
"Play and make the best use of all the chances to win," he added.
Zamalek website revealed that 34-year-old Abdel-Shafy participated in Wednesday's training, to make sure that he will be ready for Esperance, especially after picking a knee injury recently.
The coaching staff gave Youssef Ibrahim "Obama", Mohamed Awad, and Emam Ashour a rest on Wednesday.
The White Knights defeated Esperance two weeks ago in the African Super Cup held in Qatar and which ended 3-1.
