Ghana's Gyan uncertain of return to Sunderland Striker enjoying time with Al-Ain where he's netted 12 goals in ten appearances after signing on loan from Sunderland in the summer
Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan revealed Sunday that he yet to decide if he will return to English Premier League outfit Sunderland when his loan spell with Al-Ain in the UAE is finished. “If you ask me, I don't know. We have to wait until the season is over,” Gyan was quoted as saying on Ghanasoccernet.com. “For now I'm doing well for Al-Ain. What matters now is that I keep doing well for the club. The staff and the players are all happy with me and so we have to wait and see,” he added. The 26-year-old attacker has been a key player with the Emirati giants since he joined them on loan last summer from the Black Cats. Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill has stepped up his interest in Gyan's return at the end of his loan deal, while the Al-Ain coach confirmed his desire to extend the Ghanaian's stay. The former Udinese and Rennes forward is currently leading Al-Ain's scorers list with twelve goals in only ten appearances.
