Egypt's ambassador to Russia Ehab Nasr and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov held a session on Thursday to review the latest preparations for first-ever Russia-Africa summit. The summit, set to be held in Russia's Sochi city on 23-24 October, will be co-chaired by Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi and Russian President Vladimir Putin. The session also touched on arrangements related to an economic forum set to be held on the sidelines of the summit. Nasr expressed appreciation for all the efforts exerted by Russian institutions to help achieve the goals of the summit, noting that Russia and Africa have great chances to enhance bilateral cooperation and coordinate stances. The Russia-Africa Summit is one of the activities Egypt is sponsoring during its presidency of the African Union this year.
