The average yield on 273-day Egyptian treasury bills inched down at an auction on Sunday, with the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) nevertheless managing to sell all the bills on offer, according to the finance ministry's official website. The average yield on the bills fell to 15.906 per cent from 15.915 per cent at the last bond issue on 7 February, the CBE said. At Sunday's auction, the bank managed to sell bills worth a total of LE3.5 billion (roughly $589.8 million). The CBE sells the bills on behalf of the finance ministry.
