The Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) signed a cooperation protocol with Greater Cairo Water Company (GCWC) to manufacture pumps in Egypt. The protocol is meant to secure pumps required for the projects of the National Authority For Potable Water and Sewage, the New Urban Communities Authority, as well as all development projects being carried out across the country. AOI Chairman Abdel Moneim al Taras underscored the importance of upholding the local manufacturing of pumps, in light of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's directives on boosting the local components of products. An agreement has been reached to establish an Egyptian alliance in order to establish a factory for manufacturing pumps and subsequently achieve self-sufficiency in this aspect, Taras said.
