Already-qualified Nigeria ensured they would finish on top of their African Nations Cup qualifying group after beating Seychelles 3-1 on Friday. Odion Ighalo converted a penalty to give Nigeria the lead in the 35th minute but Roddy Melanie drew Seychelles level seven minutes later. However, Galatasaray's Henry Onyekuru headed home in the 52nd minute and Levante's Moses Simon also scored in stoppage time to give Nigeria their fourth win in six games. Nigeria top the group with 13 points, gaining an unassailable lead over second-placed South Africa who have nine points. South Africa meet Libya (seven points) in a crucial game on Saturday which will decide who will join Nigeria in the Egypt summer finals. In Group B, already-qualified Morocco failed to break down Malawi in a 0-0 draw. The latter stages of the match were marred by crowd troubles but the referee decided to continue the game. Morocco are on top with 11 points, three ahead of second-placed Cameroon who only need a draw against Comoros (five points) on Saturday to ensure their progress.
