Brazilian footballing legend Pelé has said that Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah and Brazil's Neymar Jr. are among the best players in the world. “I believe Salah is a great player and he has a very promising future. From my point of view, Salah and Neymar are two of the best in the world. Let's see if they will keep on playing such world-class football. I personally expect a lot more from both of them,” Pelé told Ahram. When asked about Egypt's ability to compete in the World Cup, Pelé said that it is not easy for any country to win the world's most significant football competition. “Egypt owns a lot of good players who may be not on the same level as players from Europe or South America and for this reason there should be hard and constant work to develop and qualify players,” the three-time World Cup winner said. Pelé, who quit football in 1977, is the all-time top scorer for Brazil with 77 goals, ahead of retired striker Ronaldo (62) and the current PSG star Neymar Jr. (57).
