Ghana and Al Ain striker Asamoah Gyan claimed that he will be fit for the opening game of the 2012 Nations Cup finals against Botswana after he took part in the first full training session on Friday. The 26-year old attacker Gyan performed well in his team trainings; hereby the team's officials say the signs are positive that he will be fit in time, according to Ghanaian website kickoff.com. "I trained today so we will see," Gyan told kickoff.com, adding "It was only the first training session I have had with the side so nothing is decided yet but I am positive about being fit in time for the tournament." The former Sunderland in-form attacker Gyan sustained a hamstring injury in the 4-0 win over Emirates in the UAE League then he was informed that he should rest for three weeks to recover if he wants to take part in the Africa Cup of Nations that takes place in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea on 21 January.
