Liverpool's Salah confirms his 'good relationship' with Mane and Firmino, hopes for Champions League title

Liverpool's Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah said on Monday he has a good relationship with teammates Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino, confirming that they are "friends''.
The relationship between Salah and Mane was the subject of discussion after the duo showed signs of selfishness during Liverpool's 2-1 win over Tottenham in a Premier League game on Saturday.
The duo was criticized for their failure to convert more goal scoring opportunities against the Spurs as the Senegalese winger had more chances to pass to the Egyptian winger through on goal and instead decided on another option.
Likewise, Salah opted for shooting from an impossible angle instead of passing to Mane.
"We are friends," Salah told French magazine France Football on Monday.
"We talk a lot. We all sit in the locker room at the same place. It is not important for us who will score, the most important thing is that the team wins." Salah said.
"We all cooperate, and as you see, we have all scored this season.''
Salah, who took the Premier League by storm last season by scoring 32 goals and being crowned the competition's top scorer, found the net twice in five games this season so far while Mane has scored four goals.
However, the 26-year-old who helped Liverpool reach the Champions League final, last term said he is confident that his side can win the league this season.
Liverpool will open the Champions League group stage campaign on Tuesday when they host French giants PSG.
"Last season we defeated many big clubs such as Manchester City and AS Roma, who defeated Barcelona, and we reached the Champions League final. They were incredible games," said Salah.
"With this success, it would not be a surprise if Liverpool won the Champions League this season,” continued Salah.
"I don't want to put the team under pressure, but we can do it," he said.
Asked about Tuesday's clash against PSG, the Egyptian national said he is impatient to play in this anticipated clash.
"PSG are a very good team, they have many excellent players. It will be a tough clash and I am impatient to play this game," Salah concluded.
