Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has dispelled rumors that Senegal winger Sadio Mane is jealous of Egypt star Mohamed Salah ahead of their English Premier League home clash with Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday. Speaking at the pre-match press-conference, Klopp confirmed that the African duo's relationship is quite intact, indicating that “they are best friends”. "They are best friends,” Klopp was quoted by Mirror.com. "Build on good things, work on not so good things. On an average day he is still a fantastic player. For sure, the new situation he is in with Mo Salah. "They are best friends, he's not jealous, but everyone watching now there to see what he [Salah] is doing. "And adapting to all these situations, that's how a team grows together. That's what's happening at the moment.” Rumors were rife that Senegalese star Mane was jealous of Salah, Liverpool's top-scorer, after the former preferred not to pass the ball to his attacking teammate for an easy tap-in in the 1-1 draw against Everton in December. Salah, who joined the Reds in the close season, has taken the Premier League by storm, scoring 19 goals as he is currently just two goals behind the competition's top-scorer Harry Kane – whom he is set to meet at Anfield on Sunday.
