Despite beating Tottenham 2-1 in the 6th matchday of the English Premier League on Saturday, Liverpool front line including Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah and Senegal's forward Sadio mane have showed signs of selfishness during the game that angered the Reds' fans. Liverpool's fans have criticized the front line duo Salah and Mane for their failure to convert more goalscoring opportunities against Tottenham as the Senegalese attacker had more chances to pass to the Egyptian winger through on goal and instead decided another option. Football fans and pundits believe that the selfishness between Salah and Mane could threaten Liverpool's season. "Liverpool‘s front three of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane are showing signs of selfishness," Jermaine Jenas former Spurs and Newcastle midfielder told BBC after the game. "The selfishness between Salah and Mane could affect on the Liverpool's season," Egypt's and Ahly icon Mohamed Abou-Treika said after the 2-1 win over Tottenham. Mane opting to pass to Keita instead of Salah made him annoyed to try and go on by himself instead of passing to Sturridge, which made Klopp mad. — Samue (@VintageSalah) September 15, 2018 I've never seen a player so obviously jealous of his teammate like Mane is of Salah. — Shola. (@KazekageSholz) September 15, 2018 Have Mane and Salah had a fight in training or something that's about the 4th/5th time Mane hasn't passed to him — Kieran 5ive 8ight (@Kieran_B91) September 15, 2018 Manè, I know Salah stole your thunder ⚡ last season. But don't be unfortunate, football is a team sport, pass the damn ball to him!!!! — MANÈ LIKE SALAH™ - THE REBIRTH (@TeeCharis___DRO) September 15, 2018 I swear Mané hates seeing Salah score — Parker Krueger (@lil_kruzi_vert) September 15, 2018 On the other hand, Liverpool manager Juergen Klopp believes that the game against Tottenahm was the best game of the season. “We were that good it was difficult for Tottenham,” Klopp said. “The performance today was better than the result. It was the best game of the season for us." he added. (For more sports news and updates, follow Ahram Online Sports on Twitter at @AO_Sports and on Facebook at AhramOnlineSports.)
