Burkina Faso Football Federation spokesperson Abi Ouattara said on Friday Ivory Coast-born defender Stephane Agbre was not with the training squad at a camp in Cameroon because “procedures” regarding his Burkinabe nationality “have not ended.” Ouattara spoke the day the Court of Arbitration for Sport began hearing an appeal by Namibia, which wants Burkina Faso thrown out of the African Cup for fielding Cameroon-born defender Herve Zengue in qualifying matches. Ouattara said Burkina Faso did not want to “take a risk” over Agbre, who was included in coach Paulo Duarte's preliminary squad last month. The controversial Zengue was not named in the squad.
