Mohamed Abla to hold virtual 'Wolves' exhibition
Egyptian artist hopes to encourage other artists to explore new ways to reach their audience
Published in Ahram Online on 05 - 01 - 2012

Mohamed Abla, the prominent Egyptian visual artist, will inaugurate a virtual exhibition of his works on Saturday 7 January.
The exhibition, entitled Wolves, will be presented on Facebook.
“The idea was to find an alternative platform for exhibiting an art work,” Abla comments to Ahram Online.
He admits the exhibition will include paintings not accepted by some Egyptian galleries.
“We have to take action,” Abla comments. “Instead of waiting for a change we can create the change by opening new channels and searching for new ideas in presenting art.”
“I hope the exhibition will also encourage other artists to explore new ways to reach to their audience.”
Abla added that he will try to present some of the works during the upcoming El-Fan Midan in Abdeen Square, Cairo (Saturday 7 January).
The exhibition will begin on Saturday 7 January at 5pm
