Preview: Masry aim to make history against Mounana in Confederation Cup play-offs

Egyptian side Masry is looking to make history by securing a group-stage berth for the first time in the club's history when it hosts Gabonese side Mounana on Tuesday in the second leg of the Confederation Cup round of 32 (round two).
On paper, Masry's mission will not be difficult, especially after their positive result in the first leg in Libreville.
Masry took a first leg advantage after playing out an exciting 1-1 draw away ten days earlier thanks to striker Ahmed Gomaa, who gave the Egyptian side an early lead.
Abdou Atchabao leveled the score ten minutes after the break following a fatal mistake from Masry's keeper Ahmed Massoud.
"We played a good game in Libreville and deserved to win," Masry's coach Hossam Hassan told the CAF official website on Monday.
"We suffered from the climate and humidity in Gabon, but still took the lead and were about to win, but for our goalkeeper's [Ahmed Masoud] blunder."
Still, with their positive result in the first leg, a goalless draw will be sufficient for Masry to finish their mission and advance into the next round.
Hassan told his players to achieve that mission.
"We just played one half, and there is still a second half in Port Said. We can win and qualify for the group stage for the first time in Masry's history. This is going to be a great feat and I believe we deserve to do that," Hassan concluded.
