Ahly coach El-Badry reveals CAF Champions League preparations, securing the league title
Published in Ahram Online on 05 - 03 - 2018

Ahly coach Hossam El-Badry has revealed that the team still has two games to secure the Egyptian Premier League title and he is now concentrating on the CAF Champions League campaign start.
"We're focusing now on the start of the CAF Champions League campaign because I know the importance of the African title for the team's management and fans," El-Badry told a radio programme.
The Red Devils are set to start their champions League campaign on Tuesday when they host Gabonese side Mounana in the first-leg of the competition's round of 32 at Cairo Stadium.
The second-leg will take place in Gabon on the 17th of this month.
"I warned the players from Mounana's squad as they have talented players," the Ahly coach said.
"I held several meetings with the players and today we are launching the final camp, because the starting game is important for us,"
The Cairo giants' squad has been boosted by the return of attacking midfielder Abdallah El-Said after he has recovered from injury that sidelined him during the 1-0 win over Assiouty Sport in the Egyptian Premier League.
"Abdallah El-Said will be available during the game against Mounana and may be included in the starting line-up," Ahly coach Hossam El-Badry said.
Ahly, who are on the verge of winning their third consecutive league title and the 40th in their history, have not won the Champions League title since 2012 when they lifted their eighth continental trophy.
They were close to winning the title last year but they lost the final to Moroccan side Wydad 2-1 on aggregate.
