Egypt FA fines Ahly and Zamalek for fans' fireworks

The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) decided Thursday to fine Ahly and Zamalek after their fans continued to misuse fireworks in football games.
Ahly were handed a LE20,000 fine due to their fans behavior during the Red Devils game against ENPPI in November, while Zamalek collected a total of LE70,000 fine for the same reason: LE20,000 for their fans behaviour during Zamalek's game against Smouha in the Egyptian Premier League, and LE50,000 for fans behaviour during Wednesday's 3-1 win over Arab Contractors.
The EFA has decided to toughen financial fines instead of playing games behind closed doors after clubs criticised the latter decision.
