Preview: Zamalek aim to overcome deficit against W Dicha in Confed Cup first round
Published in Ahram Online on 17 - 03 - 2018

Zamalek will be looking to overcome their one-goal deficit to Welayta Dicha when they entertain the Ethiopians in the Confederation Cup round of 32 return leg at Cairo's El-Salam Stadium on Sunday.
Having slumped to a 2-1 defeat in Hawassa nearly 10 days ago, Ehab Galal's men will be seeking to ensure their passage to the next round.
The Cairo giants will take heart from a superb domestic form which has seen them secure seven consecutive league wins, the last of which was a 4-1 thrashing of lowly Ragaa on Wedenesday.
Even so, manager Galal refused to be carried away by his team's current form, asserting that "there are no easy games today".
"Even if we triumphed in the first leg the game won't be easy still," Ex-Maqassa manager Galal told the Zamalek's official website.
Zamalek striker Bassem Morsi has finally managed to find the net once again after bagging a brace against Ragaa, having fallen long behind the pecking order due to poor form this season.
In the absence of Congolese striker Kabongo Kasongo due to injury, the Egypt international is likely to spearhead his side's attack – with the Ghanaian Nana Poku also present.
Left-back Ahmed Fatouh is also out injured, which means that natural midfielder Maarouf Yussuf is set to continue on the left of the defense.
Winger Abdallah Gomaa has also been left out alongside midfielder Emad Fathi, who scored Zamalek's goal in the first leg, as the latter undergoes an abdominal operation.
