Meteorologists expect temperatures across parts of Egypt to rise by up to 6 degrees Celsius over the next few days. Temperatures in Cairo and the Nile Delta governorates are forecast to gradually rise on Saturday to 29 degrees, hitting 32 degrees on Sunday and then declining slightly to 30 degrees on Monday. Weather in the cities along the Mediterranean coast will also be warmer on Saturday, with the mercury increasing 4 degrees to reach 26-27C. Highs in cities along the northeastern Mediterranean coast and in the North Sinai region are forecast to go up six degrees, hitting 28 degrees on Sunday before falling to 23 on Monday. Temperatures in Upper Egypt, usually the country's warmer region, are expected to rise between 3-6 degrees through Monday to average between 30-33C in the northern part of the region and 32-35C in the southern part.
