Skipper Hossam Ghaly rejoins Egypt's Ahly

Veteran midfielder Hossam Ghaly has officially rejoined boyhood club Ahly on Wednesday on a six-month contract after his recent departure from Saudi side Al-Nassr, the Cairo giants announced.
"The technical staff agreed to the return of Ghaly until the end of the current season," Hossam El-Badry was quoted as saying by the club's official website.
The 36-year-old player announced late Monday that he ended his contract with Al-Nassr amicably.
Last August, Ahly skipper Ghaly moved to Al-Nassr to start a second spell with the Saudi side, who he played for in 2010.
Saudi reports recently linked Ghaly with a move to the Saudi side Al-Fateh, but finally the player, who was Egypt's star player for years, signed for Ahly just a few hours ahead of the close of the winter transfer window in the Egyptian Premier League.
Ahly's coaching staff is reportedly still considering registering the player in the club's African squad.
Ghaly, who started his career with Ahly's first team in 2000, had successful journeys playing abroad in Europe with Feyenoord, Tottenham Hotspur, Derby County and Lierse before settling down at his boyhood club since 2014.
