Egypt's midfielder Ghaly signs 3-year contract with Ahly After the conclusion of a one-year deal with Belgian side Lierse, Hossam Ghaly finds his way back to the Reds
Egypt midfielder and former Ahly skipper Hossam Ghaly has rejoined the Cairo giants again after signing a three-year contract with them, Ahly announced on Sunday. "Ghaly has officially signed a three-year contract," Ahly football supervisor Alaa Abdel-Sadeq announced on the club's official website on Sunday. "He will be a good addition to the team squad during the coming time," he added. The Pharaohs stopper left Ahly in July 2013 once his contract with the Egyptian club concluded. He then joined Belgian side Lierse for one year with the option to extend, but he preferred to return to Egypt and wear the Reds jersey again. Ghaly, who came through Ahly's youth ranks, made his first-team debut in 2001 before joining Dutch side Feyenoord two years later. He also played for Tottenham Hotspur in England from 2006 to 2009 and had a short loan stint with Derby County. He returned to Ahly in the summer of 2010 after ending a spell at Saudi Arabia's Al-Nassr, leading the club to the Egyptian Premier League title in 2011 and the African Champions League crown in 2012 (For more sports newsandupdates, followAhramOnlineSportson Twitter at@AO_Sportsand onFacebook atAhramOnlineSports.) http://english.ahram.org.eg/News/105038.aspx
