Egypt's central bank sold LE5.125 billion in domestic treasury bills on Sunday, paring LE375 million from the amount it had offered, Egypt's Finance Ministry said. The central bank sold LE2 billion of three-month T-bills, the same amount it had offered, on behalf of the ministry. The average yield rose to 14.348 per cent from 14.258 per cent at last week's auction. It sold only LE3.125 billion of nine-month T-bills, instead of the LE3.5 billion it had asked for.
