The tournament runs from 14 to 30 July this year. Egypt is represented in the prestigious event by some of the country's swimming stars of recent years, notably Ahmed Akram, who finished fourth in the 1,500-metre freestyle at the 2015 World Aquatics Championships. Also competing is Farida Osman, who came fifth at the 2015 women's 50m butterfly final with a time of 25.78 seconds.
